New Directors Appointed by Pan African Towers

Pan African Towers Limited, a leading digital infrastructure provider in Nigeria, recently welcomed Jyoti Desai and Vivek Gupta to its board as non-executive directors.

The appointment of Desai and Gupta officially began on May 21, 2024, as announced by the company.

Desai and Gupta are now part of the Pan African Towers board alongside Adefolarin Ogunsanya, Daniel Adeoye, Marc Stoneham, and Azeez Amida.

Bringing with her more than 35 years of experience in banking and telecoms, particularly as the former group chief operating officer of MTN, Jyoti Desai has a proven track record of leading significant transformations aimed at reducing costs and improving customer focus in the industry.

Her expertise extends to financial services and telecoms in Africa and the Middle East, where she has successfully spearheaded various digital and large-scale projects.

On the other hand, Vivek Gupta, a seasoned entrepreneur and telecoms veteran, founded and directs iSON Group, an entity that has established a diverse business ecosystem encompassing IT & ITeS, BPO, and telecom infrastructure and services across multiple countries.

Gupta’s entrepreneurial journey began in 2008, leading iSON Group’s expansion into renewable energy, digital infrastructure, digital healthcare, and health insurance sectors.

With over 20 years of telecom experience, including tenure at Ericsson and IBM, Gupta’s strategic leadership and deal-making prowess have been recognized, making him a valuable addition to the Pan African Towers team.

Azeez Amida, the Managing Director and CEO of Pan African Towers, expressed his confidence in the new directors, highlighting their extensive global experience and contributions to the advancement of technology and infrastructure in Africa.

Amida emphasized the importance of Desai and Gupta in the company’s ongoing efforts to enhance its operations in Nigeria and expand its digital infrastructure footprint.
