Community Residents in Ogun State Empowered by NGO

In an effort to bring relief to the residents in the Magboro area of Ogun State and its surroundings, a non-profit organization named Everlasting Fountain Welfare Initiative has distributed essential food items, clothing, and footwear.

The main objective of this initiative is to alleviate poverty and encourage self-sufficiency among the community members by providing training sessions on sustainable livelihoods.

The distribution took place at the New Covenant Church, Magboro, where beneficiaries received basic food items like rice, garri, fish, noodles, tomato paste, and vegetable oil. Additionally, the organization handed out clothing and footwear to the residents.

In addition to the immediate relief efforts, EFWI organized training sessions on sustainable livelihoods, imparting skills in fishing, snail rearing, and small-scale farming to empower the beneficiaries towards self-reliance and economic improvement.

The founder of the NGO, Abiola Adeniyi, reiterated her dedication to creating a positive impact on the community, stating, “We are deeply moved by the challenges faced by our people and are determined to bring about positive change in their lives.”

Beneficiaries expressed their gratitude for the support received, with Mrs. Bimpe, a widow with three children, expressing, “These food items will sustain my family for at least a week. I am also looking forward to the farming training, which fills me with hope for a better future.”

Sharing his experience, another beneficiary, Mr. Kenneth, stated, “I appreciate the relief materials and the opportunity to learn new skills. This initiative has reignited my hope and sense of purpose.”

One of the volunteers, Mr. Samuel Olayemi, shared his satisfaction in being part of the initiative, saying, “Witnessing the joy on the faces of the beneficiaries is truly gratifying. It’s fulfilling to know that we are making a positive impact on people’s lives.”

The success of this outreach was made possible through the generous support of esteemed partners, including New Covenant Church, Enclave Homes and Bio Constitution, Lagos Food Bank Initiative, Food Clique Support Initiative, Agrothentic, Glitmond Cargo & Logistics Services, Justweb Technology, Sparklight properties, The Links Properties, Mr. Gabriel Okavie, and other well-meaning individuals.

To further their efforts, the Everlasting Fountain Welfare Initiative is appealing to individuals, organizations, and corporations to collaborate with them in their mission to uplift the less privileged. Through partnerships, EFWI aims to extend its influence and reach a larger audience.
