TotalEnergies co-operative Receives IFC Certification

The International Finance Corporation has awarded TotalEnergies Staff Housing Cooperative Multipurpose Society Limited, Louisville Mixed-Use Development, with two excellence in design for greater efficiency certifications.

A statement released by the co-operative highlighted that the accolades were presented at the Future Cities—Africa Green Building Summit, which was co-hosted by the Green Building Council Nigeria. It emphasized Louisville’s dedication to sustainability and excellence in green building practices.

The summit served as a platform for industry leaders, policymakers, and experts to engage in discussions on climate resilience within urban development.

According to the statement, “Before this gathering, Louisville had already been acknowledged for its advanced environmental alignment, notably through reduced water consumption, improved energy efficiency, and decreased embodied carbon in materials.”

Situated within Eko Atlantic City in Victoria Island, Lagos, the Louisville mixed-use development, designed to cover an area of over 22,000 m2, is aimed at fostering a dynamic and sustainable urban setting that seamlessly integrates residential and commercial spaces.

Ehima Uwumarogie, the Chief Operating Officer at TEHC, expressed the company’s pride in obtaining the certification, affirming, “We are truly privileged to be granted the IFC EDGE certification.”
