Expressing unwavering support for the people of Bangladesh, the UN chief called for the utmost respect for their fundamental human rights.
Haq reiterated the necessity for a thorough, independent, impartial, and transparent investigation into all instances of violence that have occurred.
According to reports from NAN, over 300 individuals, including children, have lost their lives since student-led protests erupted in July, with more than 20,000 others sustaining injuries.
