Kaduna Police Debunk Rumors of Protesters Hijacking Armored Personnel Carrier

In Kaduna State, the Police Command has dismissed the reported hijacking of its Armored Personnel Carrier (APC) by protesters.

ASP Mansir Hassan, the Police Public Relations Officer of the Command, refuted the claim in a statement issued in Kaduna.

Regarding a circulating video on social media alleging the hijacking of the APC by protesters, Hassan clarified the situation.

Describing the incident shown in the video, Hassan explained how the driver of the APC was confronted by a large group of protesters.

He highlighted the driver’s decision to avoid using live ammunition and instead utilized a tactical maneuver to safely depart from the location.

Hassan emphasized that the APC was never taken over by criminals and that the command maintained control of the vehicle and its personnel throughout the event.

Commissioner of Police, Audu Dabigi, urged the people of the state to uphold the law and promote peace and order, as stated by Hassan.

Expressing gratitude for the public’s support during challenging times, Hassan reiterated the commitment of the command to safeguard all residents’ safety and security.
