Victor Osimhen turns down Chelsea’s offer

In a recent report by PUNCH Sports Extra, it has been revealed that Victor Osimhen is not interested in making a move to Chelsea this summer. This decision comes as a blow to the London club who have been actively pursuing the Napoli striker.

Chelsea has been busy in the transfer market, securing signings such as Tosin Adarabioyo, Caleb Wiley, Omari Kellyman, Filip Jorgensen, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, and Renato Veiga. They have also strengthened their attacking options with the addition of Marc Guiu from Barcelona. Despite this, Chelsea is keen on acquiring an established forward to provide competition for Nicolas Jackson.

The Blues have been heavily linked with Osimhen, who has a hefty release clause of around £110m. Napoli’s president, Aurelio De Laurentiis, has been firm in rejecting any offers below this amount.

Recent reports hinted at discussions between Napoli and Chelsea for a potential loan deal involving Romelu Lukaku, but Osimhen’s agent has dismissed any talks of a loan move.

Despite Osimhen’s desire to leave Napoli this summer, it is reported by Corriere dello Sport that he is not enthusiastic about joining Enzo Maresca’s team.

While Arsenal has shown interest in the prolific striker in the past, they are currently focused on different attacking targets.

On the other hand, Paris Saint-Germain emerges as Chelsea’s main competitor for Osimhen’s signature. The French club is looking to strengthen their frontline following Kylian Mbappe’s departure but may have to offload either Goncalo Ramos or Randal Kolo Muani before making a move for the Napoli star.

Osimhen has been part of Napoli’s pre-season training but has not featured in any friendly matches as the 25-year-old continues to concentrate on staying fit amid potential transfer talks.
