Sanwo-Olu: Lagos State Focuses on Empowering Residents

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State shared that the state’s primary goal is to provide more opportunities for its residents.

Chairing the State Executive Council meeting, the governor mentioned in a post on X.com that the council discussed various issues affecting the state and outlined strategies to address them.

Sanwo-Olu expressed, “Our discussions were centered on the peaceful progress and remarkable development that Lagos is presently undergoing.

“As we strive to generate additional opportunities for all residents, I am confident in our collective ability to nurture a vibrant community. Through diligence and dedication, our vision for a prosperous Lagos is steadily materializing. The future looks promising for Lagos.”

“Together, we are fostering an environment where every Lagosian can thrive. Let’s continue to advance with determination and solidarity.”

This meeting marks the first gathering of state executives since the nationwide hunger protest began in Lagos.

In response to the protests in the state, the governor announced on Sunday evening that he had instructed the Ministry of Youth and Social Development, Ministry of Information and Strategy, and Office of Civic Engagement to immediately enhance communication with various stakeholders, including the protest leaders.
