In response to the accusation that its members fired at journalists who were covering the #EndbadgovernanceInNigeria demonstration in Abuja, the Department of State Services has refuted the claim. There were reports of unidentified individuals, suspected to be affiliated with the DSS, firing gunshots at both protesters and journalists within the stadium premises on Sunday. Among the victims was a journalist from Premium Times, whose vehicle came under fire while transporting journalists away from the incident.
