President Bola Tinubu has confirmed that he will deliver a nationwide address this Sunday amidst the ongoing demonstrations against poor governance happening across the country.

The announcement was made by Ajuri Ngelale, Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, in a statement released on Saturday.

The address is scheduled to be broadcasted on Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) and the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN) at 7:00 am on Sunday.

Ngelale stated, “President Bola Tinubu is set to speak to the nation on Sunday, August 4, 2024, at 7:00 am.

“Television, radio, and other electronic media platforms are encouraged to tune in to the network services of NTA and FRCN for the broadcast.

“The address will be replayed on NTA and FRCN network services at 3:00 pm and 7:00 pm on the same day,” the statement revealed.

This development follows calls for the President to engage with Nigerians as the #EndBadGovernance demonstrations entered their third day on Saturday.
