NewsNow Photojournalist’s Stolen Belongings Not Yet Returned by Ribadu’s Team

The camera and phones of Kayode Jaiyeola, a photojournalist for NewsNow, were taken by officials from the Office of the National Security Adviser. However, efforts to retrieve the items have been unsuccessful so far.

Jaiyeola attempted to recover his belongings by returning to the NSA’s office, but he was denied access by the security operatives at the gate, despite explaining the situation to them.

He also tried contacting the ONSA’s spokesperson for assistance, but his calls went unanswered.

Jaiyeola shared, “I visited the NSA’s office today to try and get back my phones and camera, but I was not allowed into the building. I explained the situation, but they did not listen. I also tried reaching out to the spokesperson for help, but he did not respond. I even contacted the FCT Command, but they stated that the NSA officials had not contacted them.”

Numerous attempts to reach the ONSA’s spokesperson, Zakari Mijinyawa, have been unsuccessful, and he has yet to reply to any messages sent to him.
