Paul Okoye sheds light on new issues within P-Square

Paul Okoye, part of the famous music duo P-Square, has once again discussed the complexities behind the strained relationship with his twin brother, Peter, who completes the group.

Despite perceptions that the duo had resolved their differences, Paul hinted at fresh challenges emerging within the group.

During an interview with City FM, Paul emphasized the importance of each member’s contribution within the group beyond just financial aspects.

He recounted instances where misunderstandings arose, including a situation where they collaborated with American rapper TI in 2014 on the track ‘Ejeajo,’ which deviated from their traditional P-Square style.

To maintain the essence of P-Square, he suggested that both brothers contribute equally to the album to prevent further discord.

Reflecting on a recent incident involving an investigation by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Paul highlighted misunderstandings and lack of apologies despite being declared innocent.

Additionally, he clarified misconceptions surrounding the alleged sale of their music catalog, asserting his creative contributions.

Peter Okoye, on the other hand, chose not to comment at this time

When contacted for a response to Paul’s statements, Peter’s manager, Emem Ema, indicated that Peter had no immediate comments to share.

However, in a 2017 interview with The Net NG, Peter expressed concerns about feeling marginalized within the group and not receiving due credit for his contributions.

Despite intermittent reconciliations, the recent revelations suggest that tensions persist between the brothers.

Jude, the elder brother, distances himself from P-Square for the past eight years

Likewise, Jude, their elder brother and former manager, clarified that his involvement with P-Square ended in 2016, with no recent association with the group.
