It has been reported by NewsNow that Chukwuebuka Enekwechi from Nigeria has successfully advanced to the final in the men’s shot put event at the 2024 Olympic Games.
After securing the fifth position in qualification Group B, Enekwechi secured a spot in Saturday’s final round.
With a remarkable throw covering a distance of 21.13m, the 31-year-old athlete solidified his position in the final.
Being the African champion, he holds the distinction of being the first Nigerian participant to reach the final in any event at the present Olympics.
It is worth noting that Enekwechi also made it to the final of the shot put event during the Tokyo Games four years ago.
As he aims for a podium finish, he is determined to achieve a top-three placement in the upcoming final.
