#EndBadGovernanceInNigeria Protesters Rally Again in Abuja Despite Tear Gas Incident

Convening at the Moshood Abiola Stadium in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, the #EndBadGovernanceInNigeria protesters have regrouped after being teargassed at the Berger roundabout just moments earlier.

Upon reaching the stadium, the demonstrators vocally affirmed their commitment to persist until the Federal Government addresses their grievances.

During an interaction with reporters, a protester named Tari expressed frustration over the actions of the police officers.

She asserted the unwavering determination of the protesters and their refusal to be intimidated by the police’s actions.

Tari declared, “The police must be held accountable for their harassment. The prevailing hunger in the country fuels our resolve to continue demanding a response from the President.”

Another protester, Michael Zayi, commented, “The current situation is regrettable. Ignoring the cries of the people leads to undesirable outcomes. We advocate peacefully. The underlying concern is that if our voices had been heard earlier, we wouldn’t be facing this situation.”

“Persistence gives hope a chance. Hunger, not death, is the greatest adversity. People are suffering. No amount of tear gas will deter us from demanding a better quality of life for ourselves.”
