Protesters Gather in Lagos, Abuja, and Port Harcourt for Day 2 of EndBadGovernance Movement

On the second day of the hunger protest, demonstrators have gathered in Lagos, Abuja, and Port Harcourt Rivers states.

According to a report from the August Protests program on Channels TV, protesters have assembled at the Ojota area and Lekki Tollgate.

An altercation between pro- and anti-EndBadGovernance groups was quickly resolved by the Nigeria Police.

Many protesters have resisted being confined within Gani Fawehinmi Park in Ojota, Lagos.

Earlier, Commissioner of Information and Strategy, Gbenga Omotoso, urged residents to maintain peace, assuring that Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu will continue engaging in dialogue with the people of Lagos.

In Port Harcourt, protesters have commenced their march from Pleasure Park along Aba road.

Meanwhile, demonstrators in Abuja have started gathering at the MKO Abiola Stadium and Berger Junction.

It is worth noting that protests erupted across various cities on Thursday, with demonstrators expressing dissatisfaction with the prevailing economic challenges.

However, protests turned violent in Kano, Abuja, Yobe, Borno, and Niger states, resulting in the reported deaths of at least ten individuals and several others sustaining injuries.
