During the current nationwide protests against poor governance in Nigeria, Adamu Garba, a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), stated on Friday that the North has been manipulated into participating in acts of vandalism.
Garba indicated that influential figures from the North advocating for the protests should acknowledge that they have unknowingly contributed to the destruction of their shared wealth.
“The North has been misled into becoming part of these destructive protests. The leaders from the North promoting these protests should now recognize that they have been instrumental in damaging their collective assets,” he shared on X.
According to reports from NewsNow, the protests began on August 1 and will continue until August 10, 2024, with Nigerians expressing concerns over widespread hunger and increasing inflation in the country.
