According to sources, Napoli forward Victor Osimhen is keen on a summer move to Arsenal instead of Chelsea.
Osimhen has reportedly come to an agreement with Napoli to depart from the club this summer and has been strongly linked with a potential transfer to Paris Saint-Germain.
The Nigerian international has an asking price of £86 million, significantly lower than Napoli’s valuation of £109 million last year.
Reports from Corriere dello Sport suggest that Osimhen favors a move to the Emirates Stadium over Stamford Bridge, as per The Boot Room.
Initial discussions pointed towards Osimhen moving to PSG following Kylian Mbappe’s departure from Parc des Princes.
Meanwhile, Mikel Arteta’s team is in search of a pure number nine for their squad.
Arsenal might also consider their Brazilian striker, Gabriel Jesus, who lost his starting position to his German teammate towards the end of the previous season.
Given these circumstances, the club from north London is eager to acquire a tall and powerful striker like Osimhen.
