Violent Attack on Single Protester in Ondo during EndBadGovernance Movement

In Akure, Ondo State, a lone protestor fell victim to a brutal assault by hoodlums on Thursday.

The incident occurred at the well-known NEPA roundabout, where the protestor was attempting to gather supporters for the nationwide #EndBadGovernance demonstration.

Reports from NewsNow indicate that the local residents disregarded the protest, and security officers were stationed at every junction in Akure to prevent any outbreak of violence.

According to an eyewitness, the protestor arrived at the junction and parked his vehicle, unaware that a group of commercial motorcycle riders had decided to take action against anyone disrupting their business.

The witness explained, “The young man arrived in his car and parked at the roundabout.

“After some waiting, he turned up the volume of the music in his car and proceeded to place a sign on his windshield.

“One of the motorcyclists approached the car to read the content of the sign.

“Upon reading it, he gestured to the others, who then attacked the man.

“They confronted him with questions, leading to a physical assault.

“Despite the severe beating, the protestor managed to escape into his car and drove away quickly.”
