Benue Youths and Others Commended by Alia for Choosing Not to Participate in Nationwide Protest

Hyacinth Alia, the Governor of Benue State, has conveyed his heartfelt gratitude to the residents of Benue for adhering to his advice to abstain from joining the nationwide protest.

In particular, the governor commended the organized labor, trade unions, civil society organizations, youth, and other community groups in the state for honoring their commitment to refrain from taking part in the protest.

This was disclosed in a press release on Thursday by Tersoo Kula, the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor.

Alia noted that the choice of the residents to forego the protest in the state reflects their strong belief in the policies of the APC-led administration in the country.

He viewed it as an indication that the residents are ready to grant the government more time to enhance their well-being.

“Governor Alia also affirms the people of the state of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s unwavering fondness for Benue, emphasizing that the various projects initiated by his administration throughout the state are a result of the support and harmonious rapport his administration has received from the Tinubu-led federal government,” the statement mentioned.

“He pledges to continue striving to offer them effective governance, emphasizing that this is the only way he will uphold the confidence placed in him by the residents of Benue.”

“Gov Alia urges the residents to sustain peaceful conduct, engaging in their daily activities as usual during this period,” the statement concluded.
