Wearing distinctive face caps bearing the word “peace,” the protesters took to the streets, confronting and dispersing looters who had been ransacking businesses and shops.
The individuals in the green ‘Peace’ caps passionately demanded freedom from the government and expressed their disapproval of the vandalism of private properties.
Prior to the NCC office being targeted, various locations had already been plundered and set ablaze as the chaos unfolded across the city.
The newly constructed NCC office, slated for inauguration in the near future, fell victim to the unrest, being looted and then set alight.
Speaking to the press, one of the ‘Peace’ protesters emphasized their commitment to halting the wanton destruction of innocent citizens’ assets.
