Protesters disrupt minister’s speech at Eagles Square

During an event at Eagles Square, protesters loudly objected as the Minister of State for Youths Development, Ayodele Olawande, attempted to address them.

The protesters continuously chanted “hunger dey”, making it impossible for the minister to communicate with them.

Despite the disturbances, the minister clarified that he did not intend to stop the protest and referred to himself as a fellow activist who has participated in numerous demonstrations.

He stated, “I come in peace, I support your right to protest. I have been part of countless protests before.”

The minister also promised to address the authorities about the use of force against the protesters.

Meanwhile, the protesters insisted on staying at Eagles Square rather than moving to the Moshood Abiola National Stadium. They highlighted a recent protest that was held separately without police intervention.
