Warning from Lagos LG Chair: Avoid Gathering in Amuwo Odofin during Protest

In a recent statement, the Amuwo Odofin Local Government Area in Lagos State strongly cautioned residents against congregating or taking part in the upcoming protest within the council area.

The Council Chairman, Mr Valentine Buraimoh, delivered this warning on Wednesday in Lagos, emphasizing the need for compliance.

The planned nationwide protest, scheduled from August 1 to August 10, is focused on addressing issues related to hunger and the escalating cost of living.

Notably, the designated protest locations in Lagos State are Gani Fawehinmi Freedom Park in Ojota and Peace Park in Ketu, none of which fall within AOLG.

Buraimoh highlighted that any gathering or protest within AOLG would run contrary to a court ruling and urged residents to uphold the law by refraining from participating in any such activities within the local government area.

Emphasizing the importance of maintaining peace and order in the community, he stated, “Let us prioritize harmony and structure in our environment.”

Buraimoh also reassured residents of his commitment to continuously strive towards promoting their welfare and security.
