Governor of Kano State reconstitutes governing council of Aliko Dangote University

Approval has been granted by the Kano State Governor, Alhaji Abba Yusuf, for the reconstitution of the Governing Council of Aliko Dangote University of Science and Technology in Wudil.

Effective immediately, the appointments, as stated in a release signed by Kano State Commissioner of Information, Baba Dantiye, take immediate effect.

A portion of the statement reads, “The freshly formed governing board lists Aliko Dangote, the President of Dangote Group, as Chancellor, retired Supreme Court Justice Audu Aboki as Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the Governing Council, and Professor Ibrahim Kano as a council member.

“Additional members comprise Professor Dije Sulaiman, Dr Fa’iza Mukhtar Adhama, Dr Aminu Bello Wudil, Dr Garba Abubakar, and the University’s Vice Chancellor, Professor Musa Yakasai.

“Serving as members are the Deputy Vice-chancellors for Academic and Administration at the University, a representative from the Private sector, Alhaji Sabiu Bako, and a representative from NUC.”

Rounding out the council are four representatives from the University Senate, two representatives from the University Congregation, a representative from the Ministry of Higher Education, with the University Registrar acting as Council Secretary.
