In Kano, it is Governor Yusuf’s stand against disorderly behavior

Addressing business leaders, traditional rulers, and religious heads at the Government House, Kano State Governor Abba Yusuf urged residents to steer clear of provocative actions during and after the scheduled hunger protest set to begin on Thursday.

In his plea, Yusuf emphasized the futility of protests in achieving desired outcomes. He said, “I urge those wishing to exercise their right to protest to avoid actions that could be manipulated by destructive forces.”

He reported, “We have credible information indicating that certain dissatisfied individuals are mobilizing hooligans to incite disorder in the state.

“The government will not condone such behaviors. Instead, I invite those interested in demonstrating to come to the Government House, where I am willing to hear their grievances and engage in a constructive dialogue.”

Governor Yusuf highlighted the administration’s initiatives to implement policies and programs aimed at improving the welfare of citizens and showcasing the blessings of Kano.

“We are united in our pursuit of positive transformations that will lead to peace, progress, and political stability.”

“Yet, I must stress that social media’s negative influence, by permitting the disparagement of leaders, will hinder our goal achievement,” he remarked.

The governor’s call for calm and moderation comes as the state readies for impending protests, advising residents to maintain peace and prevent actions that could incite unrest.
