Ogbako Ndigbo Supports Farmers in South-East with Fertiliser Distribution

In an effort to enhance agricultural productivity and alleviate poverty in the South-East region, the National President of Ogbako Ndigbo Nile, Azunna Akpelu, distributed fertilisers to farmers on Monday.

This distribution of fertilisers was a joint initiative between the group and Ebonyi Fertilizer and Chemical Compan Limited, led by Eni Uduma Chima.

Akpelu stated: “To address the issue of poor harvests resulting from the use of substandard fertilisers, we have partnered with a fertiliser company from Ebonyi to bring about increased agricultural yields in Imo State. We responded to the concerns of our people by facilitating the involvement of Ebonyi State Fertilisers Company to improve crop production and provide support to our community. We urge our Igbo brethren to rally behind us in ensuring food sufficiency in Imo State, the South-East, and across Igboland. Our mission is to enhance the well-being of our people; Igbos should unite and endorse this cause as Ebonyi fertiliser is among the finest available.”

“Let’s champion agriculture and offer mutual aid. By doing so, we anticipate a reduction in insecurity, thereby restoring the camaraderie that characterized our community.”

“It’s noteworthy that hunger often triggers criminal behavior. When individuals are deprived of food, their judgment is impaired. It is imperative to ensure adequate food supply to prevent such occurrences.”

Chairman of Ebonyi Fertilizer and Chemical Company Limited, Uduma, highlighted, “Our collaboration with Ogbako Ndigbo Nile in Imo State aims to tackle agricultural hurdles, prioritize food security, and provide fertilisers to bolster farming activities while combating product adulteration. The Ebonyi State government, along with the entire administration, is vigorously striving to curb hunger and poverty within our state through diverse strategic initiatives centered on agriculture and food production.”
