Message to Kogi Youths from Ododo: Reject Destructive Movements

In Lokoja, the capital of Kogi State, Governor Alhaji Usman Ododo urged the youth to steer clear of becoming tools for destruction.

Ododo delivered this message during the World Bank-supported empowerment program benefiting 500 youths and women as part of the Live Stock Productivity and Resilient Project.

Referencing the efforts of the Federal Government, led by President Bola Tunubu, in assisting the populace, particularly the youths and women, the governor encouraged those contemplating protests to reconsider and not jeopardize the progress of the past 13 months.

He emphasized, “For those engaging in violent protests, let’s prioritize reasoning. We are advancing, our aspirations are renewed, and any violent disruptions could undo our 13 months of progress.

“The motives behind protests in Nigeria are intertwined with political desperation. I urge all our nation’s youth to back the President in steering the country back on the right path.

“The Livestock Productivity and Resilient Support Project is a significant stride towards Nigeria’s food security and economic growth.”

Ododo highlighted the project’s alignment with his administration’s objectives of positioning the state as a hub for livestock production in the country.

“We are resolute in achieving the project’s goals here in Kogi State. I congratulate the 500 women and youth poultry farmers and entrepreneurs chosen as beneficiaries through the rigorous World Bank standards,” he remarked.

Assuring the World Bank of the state government’s unwavering support and dedication to ensure project success, Ododo stated, “We commit to driving these projects with dedication and zeal for our people’s benefit.”

As a token of support, he announced a logistic aid of N100,000 for all project beneficiaries to boost their businesses.
