Fuel Scarcity Continues in Ibadan Leading to Long Queues [PHOTOS]

Commercial buses, private cars, motorcycles, and tricycles are facing long queues at petrol stations in Ibadan, the capital of Oyo State.

The city has been experiencing a shortage of petrol in recent days, causing this inconvenience for the residents.

Reports indicate that the scarcity of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) has been ongoing in Ibadan, with the situation worsening as many stations ceased operations on Monday.

Areas like Bodija, Sango, Apete, Sango/ Eleyele Road, Agodi Gate, and Secretariat Road have seen petroleum stations closing down since the start of the week, leading to the long queues.

Independent marketers are selling fuel for prices ranging between N800 and N850, while stations owned by the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation Limited (NNPCL) continue to sell at N580 per litre.

As of Tuesday, the situation has not improved, and fuel remains scarce in the city.

A cab driver in the Sango area mentioned that the prices he encountered at petrol stations were between N800 and N850, with some stations no longer selling fuel.
