To reach Rema and Asake’s level is not a priority for me, says Victony

The Afrobeats artist, Anthony Victor, also known as Victony, has expressed that he is not in a hurry to achieve the same level of fame as his counterparts, Rema and Asake.

In response to claims from some social media users suggesting that his debut album ‘Stubborn’ did not perform well commercially because there were not enough negative comments to generate social media buzz, Victony dismissed them as baseless.

Victony called the assumption “ridiculous” and pointed out that those propagating such ideas have unrealistic expectations regarding the album’s success, considering his current standing in the music industry.

Sharing his thoughts on his X handle, Victony stated: “Laughing my ass off, the notion that Victony needs more haters is probably the silliest thing I’ve come across. What’s the rush? Does everyone aim to achieve the status of Rema and Asake in just a few hours?”
