Former Super Eagles Player, Finidi George Sets Bold Goals for Rivers United

Expressing his commitment to making a meaningful impact at Rivers United, head coach Finidi George continues to underline his ambitions for the club.

Having assumed his role at Rivers United earlier this month following a brief stint with the Super Eagles, the 53-year-old is tasked with the responsibility of revamping the Port Harcourt club following a disappointing performance in the previous Nigeria Premier Football League season.

With aspirations set high, the ex-winger aims to elevate Rivers United to a position of prominence in both Nigerian and African football.

Discussing his objectives, Finidi stated, “I view this as a new chapter and gladly accept the challenge. My goal is to facilitate the club’s growth and establish it as a leading entity in Nigerian and African football.”

Speaking exclusively to SportsBoom, he added, “I am excited about the club’s vision and foresee immense potential for progress and triumph. The club’s aspirations resonate with my own, and I am confident that together we can achieve remarkable feats.”

Finidi’s inaugural match as Rivers United head coach is slated as an away game against Bendel Insurance next month.
