In search of progress and development of the Owo Ancient Kingdom

The progress and development of the Owo Ancient Kingdom was the focal point of a recent visit by His Imperial Majesty, Oba (Dr) Ajibade Gbadegeshin Ogunoye III, Olowo of Owo, to Ms Oyindamola Lami Adeyemi, the Executive Chairperson of Tirex Energy and Petroleum Limited. The royal visit took place at her private residence at Banana Island, Lagos, on Friday, 2 December, 2022.

One of the central figures in the visit was Chief (Dr) Prince Rotimi Ibidapo OON, the Aare Atunluse of Owo Kingdom, who is also Ms Adeyemi’s brother. He accompanied the Olowo and played a significant role in welcoming the royal entourage.

Ms Adeyemi, a notable figure in the Nigerian oil and gas industry, expressed her gratitude to the Olowo for making the journey from Owo to visit her in Lagos. The visit attracted many prominent indigenes of Owo and showcased the rich cultural heritage of the ancient kingdom.

The Olowo’s visit also served as an avenue to explore potential avenues for progress and development in the ancient kingdom. It was a reminder of the commitment to advancing the Owo Ancient Kingdom while celebrating its illustrious history.
