Manchester United Announces New Shirt Number for Hojlund in the EPL

Confirmed by Manchester United, Rasmus Hojlund will sport a new shirt number for the upcoming 2024/2025 season.

After initially wearing no. 11 during his debut season at Old Trafford, the Denmark international will now don the number 9 jersey, previously owned by Anthony Martial.

Following Martial’s departure from the club due to contract expiration, Hojlund will now carry on the legacy of United greats such as Sir Bobby Charlton, Andy Cole, Dimitar Berbatov, and Zlatan Ibrahimovic, all of whom have proudly worn the no. 9 shirt.

With this change, Joshua Zirkzee is expected to take on the no. 11 jersey.
