Confirmation has been received from Manchester United regarding Rasmus Hojlund’s updated shirt number for the upcoming 2024/2025 season.
Initially, Hojlund sported the no. 11 jersey during his introduction season at Old Trafford.
However, as the new season approaches, the Denmark international will now proudly display the number 9, formerly donned by Anthony Martial.
Martial bid farewell to United following the conclusion of his contract.
Hojlund now joins the esteemed ranks of United greats such as Sir Bobby Charlton, Andy Cole, Dimitar Berbatov, and Zlatan Ibrahimovic, all of whom have also graced the no. 9 shirt.
Following the reassignment of the number, Joshua Zirkzee is anticipated to take on the mantle of the number 11 jersey.
