Edo Queens find themselves in a challenging group for CAFWCL Qualifier

The CAF Women’s Champions League qualifier has placed Edo Queens from Nigeria in a tricky group alongside Ominisport Etincelle from Burkina Faso, Hassaascas Ladies from Ghana, and AS Garde Nationale from Niger.

Conducted at the CAF headquarters in Cairo, Egypt, the draw ceremony unfolded on Wednesday.

This tournament marks Edo Queens’ first appearance in the competition.

Group A comprises hosts FC Inter D’Abidjan from Cote d’l voire, ASKO FC from Togo, and Ainonvi FC from Benin Republic.

The event is scheduled to take place from 10th to 23rd August in Abidjan, Cote d’Ivoire, with matches being held at the Stade Félix Houphouët Boigny and Champroux stadiums.

The victorious team will secure the zone’s representation in the CAF Women’s Champions League.
