Family of Mohbad Conducts New Autopsy to Uncover Singer’s Cause of Death

A fresh autopsy has been carried out by the family of the late artist, Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad, in an effort to determine the circumstances surrounding his death.

One of the legal representatives of the family, Monisola Odumosu, revealed that the autopsy took place over two days, on Friday, July 19, and Saturday, July 20.

Odumosu stated in a press release, “The second autopsy, which was requested by the Aloba family and authorized by Magistrate T.A. Shotobi, was conducted on July 19 and 20, 2024.

“This process involves two stages, and if the initial examination does not provide clarity on the cause of death, further tests such as toxicology and histology will be carried out.

“The procedure was overseen by Mr. Joseph Aloba, the forensic pathologist he had selected, his legal team, as well as a pathologist chosen by Wunmi Aloba.”

Back in June, Mohbad’s father, Joseph Aloba, was granted permission by Coroner Court Magistrate T.A. Shotobi in Ikorodu, Lagos State, to engage a certified pathologist for an independent autopsy.

Mohbad passed away on September 12, 2023, at the age of 26 under controversial circumstances, and the exact cause of his death still remains unknown.
