Tinubu respected federal character principle in Head of Service appointment- Gov Diri


Bayelsa State Governor, Douye Diri, has expressed delight over the appointment of seasoned administrator, Dame Didi Esther Walson-Jack, as Head of the Civil Service of the Federation by President Bola Tinubu.

Gov Diri said the news of her appointment on Wednesday was heartwarming, well received and has brought joy to the people of Bayelsa State and the Ijaw nation in general.

In a statement, issued to NewsNow, through the Chief Press Secretary to Governor, Daniel Alabrah, Diri while congratulating the new appointee, described Didi Walson-Jack as a distinguished civil servant with an exceptional public service career.

The statement further said, ”Your appointment as the new Head of the Civil Service of the Federation is a significant milestone in your public service career”

“The government and people of Bayelsa State, and, indeed, the Ijaw nation are excited about this notable advancement and achievement of a worthy daughter of our state and the Ijaw nation”

While commending President Bola Tinubu, Governor Diri noted that it is equally gratifying that merit was not sacrificed for other primordial considerations in appointing Didi Walson-Jack.

He said, ”Mr President has again proven that he is a leader who is committed to fairness, justice, national integration and upholding the principles of federal character in his administration.
