England job: Tuchel takes decision on replacing Southgate

Former Bayern Munich and Chelsea manager, Thomas Tuchel is keen to take over England after Gareth Southgate decided to step down as coach of the Three Lions.

Southgate had on Tuesday morning resigned as manager of the England national football team.

He made the decision after failing to win Euro 2024 with England after losing 2-1 to Spain in the final on Sunday.

Southgate’s contract was due to expire in December.

However, according to The Sun, Tuchel is keen to speak with the English FA, having indicated he was open to replacing Southgate following the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

Tuchel has won trophies in England, France and Germany in his managerial career so far.

He famously lifted the UEFA Champions League with Chelsea in 2021.
