Four managers in line to replace Southgate as next England boss

The Football Association has drawn up a list of possible candidates to replace Gareth Southgate.

Southgate sensationally resigned from his role as England manager on Tuesday morning.

The 53-year-old had a contract until December, but has stepped down two days after losing 2-1 to Spain in the Euro 2024 final.

It is the second Euro final in a row that Southgate has suffered defeat with England.

According to Sky Sports, the FA’s list of replacements include Eddie Howe, Mauricio Pochettino, Graham Potter and current England U21 boss Lee Carsley.

Howe is the current Newcastle United manager, while Pochettino and Potter are out of work at the moment.
