The Selection of Assistant Coaches to Be Determined by the New Super Eagles Head Coach

The upcoming head coach of the Super Eagles will have the autonomy to choose his supporting staff.

A pool of both local and foreign coaches have already submitted their applications for the role.

As reported by Complete Sports, the appointed coach will be tasked with selecting two assistant coaches and potentially a goalkeeper trainer.

This decision by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) aims to prevent any conflicts or differences in coaching philosophies between the head coach and his assistants.

The NFF is anticipated to announce the appointment of a new head coach for the Super Eagles in the coming month.

Finidi George, who formerly served as one of the assistants under ex-head coach Jose Peseiro, is expected to lead the team during the upcoming friendlies against Ghana and Mali later in this month.
