The Russian Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) issued a statement this Tuesday in which it directly pointed out to France and the United Kingdom to “actively work” to deliver to Ukraine “a nuclear bomb, or at least a ‘dirty bomb'” to help kyiv in peace negotiations.
“London and Paris are actively working to deliver these weapons and delivery systems to kyiv (…) This implies the covert transfer of European components, equipment and technology in this area to Ukraine,” explains the SVR while denouncing that these plans “represent a flagrant violation of International Law” and the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT).
“The United Kingdom and France recognize that the current situation in Ukraine does not allow them to achieve their much-desired victory over Russia (…) However, the British and French elites are not prepared to accept defeat,” says the SVR statement, which also highlights that “Berlin has wisely declined to participate in this dangerous adventure.”
The Kremlin also explains that France and the United Kingdom “focus their efforts on making Ukraine’s acquisition of nuclear weapons appear to be the result of Ukrainian development itself” and that they “hope in vain to avoid their responsibility.”
They will inform the United States
In this sense, the presidential advisor, Yuri Ushakov, has assured that Russia will inform the United States of everything related to these alleged attempts by France and the United Kingdom to help kyiv develop its nuclear potential.
“We will especially talk about it with the Americans,” Ushakov said in an interview on Russian public television.
