Ondo State Governor dissolves State Executive Council, sacks all aides of former governor

The executive council of Ondo State has been dissolved by Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, along with the dismissal of all aides who previously served under the former governor.

The announcement was made through a statement released by his Chief Press Secretary, Ebenezer Adeniyan, in Akure, the state capital. The statement instructs all cabinet members to hand over their responsibilities to the Permanent Secretaries or the most senior administrative officers in their respective offices. Additionally, all Senior Special Assistants (SSAs) and Special Assistants (SAs) have been relieved of their duties with immediate effect. The affected officials are directed to hand over all government properties in their possession. The Governor expressed gratitude to the affected officials for their services and contributions to the development of the State.

It should be noted that Aiyedatiwa assumed the role of governor following the passing of his predecessor, Rotimi Akeredolu.
