Islamic cleric apprehended while assaulting 14-year-old girl in Lagos

In the Mushin area of Lagos, a 41-year-old Islamic cleric, commonly known as Alfa, narrowly escaped a lynching by residents of Ilasamaja after he was discovered assaulting a 14-year-old girl named Rahmotu.

After the girl’s parents left for their daily activities, the suspect reportedly entered her compound by jumping over the fence.

The vigilance of Rahmotu’s elder brother, Rahmon, led to the cleric being caught in the act. Prompt intervention by police officers from Zone D in Mushin prevented him from being lynched, and he was swiftly taken into custody.

An eyewitness recounted, “Alfa was apprehended by the victim’s elder brother, Rahmon. He attempted to subdue the perpetrator but was unsuccessful, prompting him to seek assistance.”
