Two arrested over murder of Ondo socialite

The murder of a socialite in Ondo has led to the arrest of two individuals by the Ondo State Command of the Nigeria Police Force. Oladoyinbo Sunday’s lifeless body was discovered in Ijapo Estate in Akure on December 10, 2024. According to the Police Public Relations Officer, Mrs Funmilayo Odunlami, the arrests were made through intelligence gathering by the state command. The police revealed that Atinuke Adeniyi, aged 29, confessed to being involved in a romantic affair with the deceased and claimed that he started convulsing after they were together in a brothel in Ijapo the day before his body was found. Subsequently, Adeojo Ilesanmi, aged 50, the owner of the brothel, was arrested for taking the deceased’s corpse to the scene where it was found. The investigation is ongoing, and the suspects will face charges in court once the probe is complete.
