Victor Boniface becomes Nigeria

Victor Boniface, the Super Eagles striker, has achieved the status of Nigeria’s second most expensive player following his remarkable performance for Bayern Leverkusen in the German Bundesliga this season.

According to the latest update by Transfermarkt, the market value of the Super Eagles star has surged from €12m to €40m.

Currently, the Nigerian international holds the position of the second most expensive Nigerian player in the transfer market, with Victor Osimhen remaining at the top of the list.

Having made a €20m move from Royale Union Saint-Gilloise to Bayer Leverkusen in the last transfer window, Boniface has evolved into one of the most feared strikers in Europe.

His impressive performance, inclusive of seven goals and three assists in eight Bundesliga games, has resulted in him being awarded the league’s Player of The Month and Rookie of The Month titles for August and September. Additionally, he has also received nominations for Best Player of the Month in September.

At present, the striker ranks as the Bundesliga’s third top scorer for the 2023/24 season with seven goals in eight games, trailing behind VfB Stuttgart’s Serhou Guirassy and Bayern Munich’s Harry Kane, who have tallied 14 and nine goals, respectively.
