Paul Merson: Seven EPL Teams Vying for Three Champions League Spots

According to former Arsenal midfielder Paul Merson, there are seven Premier League teams in contention for three Champions League spots.

Merson predicts that Arsenal and Manchester City will secure the top two positions.

With England expected to have five representatives in the Champions League next season, Merson believes that multiple clubs will be competing for those remaining spots.

During an interview on Sky Sports, Merson stated, “If we remove Arsenal and Man City, who are likely to finish in the top two this season, there are seven teams vying for three Champions League places. Therefore, consistency will be crucial.”

“All these teams can defeat each other on any given day, as we have already witnessed this season. It will come down to which team can maintain consistency,” he added.

Merson also mentioned that Manchester United is still in the race for a top-five finish.
