UCL: Guardiola Surpasses Alex Ferguson’s Record as City Defeat RB Leipzig

Pep Guardiola, the manager of Manchester City, has broken Sir Alex Ferguson’s record by winning 103 matches in the Champions League.

In a thrilling match, the Premier League champions scored two goals in the final 10 minutes to secure a 3-1 victory over RB Leipzig.

Although Phil Foden’s goal in the first half was cancelled out, City’s dominance prevailed as Julian Alvarez and Jeremy Doku both found the back of the net.

With this win, Guardiola surpasses Ferguson’s tally of 102 victories.

Currently, Guardiola is only behind Carlo Ancelotti, who has won 108 games and is still competing in the tournament with Real Madrid.

Ancelotti also holds the record for the most Champions League titles, having won four, while Guardiola has three to his name.

City aims to become the second club in the Champions League era to successfully defend their crown.
