Rivers Crisis: I’m not fighting Wike – Gov Fubara

The crisis in Rivers: Gov Fubara’s stance on Wike

Governor Siminalayi Fubara of River State has emphasized that his administration is dedicated to fulfilling its mandate and not engaging in any conflict.

Speaking at the launch of 20,000 housing units for low-income earners in the state at Mbodo-Aluu, along International Airport Road in Ikwerre Local Government Area on Friday, Fubara pledged to continue acting in accordance with righteousness before God and humanity. He also encouraged active public participation in governance.

Fubara assured the people, “Our government has nothing to do with engaging in conflicts. Our governance is aimed at caring for and safeguarding our people. I can assure you that this marks the commencement of our service to the people of Rivers State.”

He stressed, “It is not service for the privileged few, but for the poor and low-income earners. Those are the people we aim to support, and we stand with them from this day forward.”

This statement comes against the backdrop of the ongoing discord between Wike and Fubara.
