FG inaugurates committee to renegotiate ASUU 2009 agreement

The committee to renegotiate the 2009 agreement between the Federal Government and ASUU was inaugurated on March 7. This comes as ASUU is currently on a one-month warning strike, pressing for improved welfare, university revitalization, and academic autonomy. The committee is headed by Pro-Chancellor, Alex Ekweme Federal University Ndufu-Alike, Emeritus Professor Nimi Briggs. Other members include representatives from various regions and the Committee is tasked with reviewing the draft proposed FGN/ASUU Agreement and conducting consultations, renegotiations, and submitting proposed draft agreements within three months of the inauguration.
