Actress Jumoke George has revealed that she faced a 14-year drought in receiving movie roles due to her refusal to compromise her principles.
In an interview with Punch, Jumoke explained that she did not voluntarily leave the industry, but rather stood her ground against those who sought to exploit her.
She stated;
“I did not leave (the industry) of my own volition. Some people in the industry wanted to compromise my integrity, but I refused to engage in such activities. As a result, I was sidelined and did not receive any acting opportunities for 14 years.”
