Two individuals, Adetunji Alagbe and Opeyemi Ogunlokun, were apprehended by the Ogun State police command on July 5 for stealing a Sallah ram belonging to Sodiq Abolore.

A report was lodged at Ogijo divisional headquarters by Sodiq Abolore, who stated that while he was sleeping in his house around 3 am, he heard an unusual noise in his compound. Upon investigation, he discovered that the iron gate he used to block the entrance where he kept his Sallah ram had been pulled down.

Abolore found that his Sallah ram, which he had bought for #120,000, was missing. He later spotted three men attempting to force his ram into a waiting Mazda car trunk. Upon seeing this, he raised an alarm and contacted the police for help.

The police chased the three men, managing to apprehend two of them while the third escaped.

Confirming the incident, DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi, the spokesperson of the state police command, stated that the ram was recovered and the two suspects were taken into custody.
