Shocking reports reveal that a pastor, Rev. Daniel Umaru, fell victim to a gruesome attack on his residence in Mubi, Adamawa State. Tragically, the assailants killed his two sons and abducted his 13-year-old daughter.
Details about the distressing incident remain murky as of the time of this report. However, it is known that the gunmen forcefully entered the clergyman’s home on the night of Tuesday, July 5, and gravely injured him by shooting his leg.
As per the latest information, Rev. Umaru, who serves as the Pastor in charge of EYN Church (Ikilisiya Yan’uwa a Nijeria-Church of Brethren in Nigeria) Nja Njairi, Mubi, is currently battling for his life in a hospital. Meanwhile, his wife is in a state of coma, attributed to the shock of the traumatic events.
The distressing incident was confirmed by Evangelist Lawi Baturendole Yusuf in a post on Facebook on Tuesday, July 6, expressing his emotional turmoil and concern for the pastor’s family.
“I can’t hold my tears anymore, I’m tired of this wicked world. People now behave like animals? I woke up this morning with tears all over me – these young guys were killed by unknown gunmen yesterday at Njeri Mubi. They also shot the father in his leg. This wasn’t enough for them as they took the remaining daughter to an unknown place. Please, God, save your children in Nigeria. Rest in peace, my brothers. We pray for Rev. Daniel Umaru’s quick recovery, and also for the mother who is currently unconscious. God will take charge of the revenge. Please, let’s pray for the daughter in captivity,” he wrote.
