Raheem Sterling to finalize £55m transfer from Manchester City to Chelsea following agreement on personal terms

After officially expressing his desire to depart from Manchester City, Raheem Sterling has reached an agreement on personal terms with Chelsea.

According to Sportsmail, the England international concluded negotiations for a contract with Chelsea in the presence of his lawyer.

It is reported that Thomas Tuchel, the coach of Chelsea, had constructive discussions with the 27-year-old England star before Sterling made the decision to switch clubs.

Sterling is poised to become the flagship signing under Chelsea’s new ownership, led by chairman Todd Boehly, with both clubs negotiating a transfer fee.

Chelsea is expected to meet the valuation, estimated at £55 million, for a player entering the final year of a £300,000-per-week contract.

At Chelsea, Sterling is set to earn approximately £315,000 per week by signing a long-term contract.

The winger, who joined Manchester City from Liverpool in 2015, clinched five domestic cup competitions during his time at City.
